Mark Zibert

The work of Mark Zibert really caught my eye after viewing his work in one of Communication Arts' featured articles.  I enjoy the lighting, composition and colors in all of the work shown in the article.  There is something dark and mysterious about all of his images that gives a unique power to his work and adds to the message he is portraying.  The article also features two very well made videos he also directed that i posted below:

Alex Ross - Batman Painted 3

Lately I've been researching a lot of different comic book illustrators and came arcross Alex Ross's work.  He has been an illustrator for many of the top comic book companies including Marvel and DC Comics.  His work stood out to me because he also does paintings of the superhero characters he works on.  I really enjoy the detail he puts into his pieces.  As you can see in the one above, his work is very realistic and gives a lot of information about the characters.
